Prof. Shah Manzoor Alam
Chairman

Founder Chairman of MEDNET is a distinguished social scientist, consultant to the World Bank, Washington, and a Former Vice-Chancellor, University of Kashmir. He graduated (M.A.) from the Aligarh Muslim University in 1948 and obtained his Ph.D. from Edinburgh University (U.K.) in 1962. 

He was Professor and Head, Department of Geography, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences and Founder Director, Centre for Area Studies at the Osmania University. He was Visiting Professor in Universities in Australia and New Zealand. He was National Lecturer in Geography and Professor Emeritus of the University Grants Commission. 

He has made significant contributions in the field of Qur'an and Science. His research papers in this field have been published in international journals on Islamic Studies. He was Visiting Professor (1992) at Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. His book entitled: Scientific Significance in Selected Qur'anic Verses has been published (1999) by the Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University.

His book "War on Terrorism or American Strategy for Global Dominance" was released in December 2009 and has been published by vantage Press, New York.

Mr. Mir Wajid Ali Kamil

He is a legal luminary of Hyderabad and practices both in the High Court of Andhra Pradesh and the Supreme Court of India, New Delhi . He is the son of Late Mr. Zahid Ali Kamil, a distinguished lawyer. Takes keen interest in the social affairs of Indian Muslim with special attention to their educational backwardness. He has contributed significantly to the progress of the Trust.

A prominent business entrepreneur and social worker well known for his charitable and philanthropic activities. A graduate in Agriculture, he is very keen and enthusiastic in promoting the cause of Muslim community in Hyderabad, particularly in the field of education.

A distinguished Urdu Author & Poet, he retired as Associate Professor and Head, Department of Urdu, Osmania University, Hyderabad. He obtained his Ph.D. from Osmania University in 1980. He has good knowledge of Qur'an and Hadith. He wrote more than one dozen books in prose & poetry including two books on sufisms. He has made notable contributions in the preparation of the Monographs of MEDNET as a member of the Committee of Experts.
