Chairman of MEDNET is a distinguished
social scientist, consultant to the
World Bank, Washington, and a Former
Vice-Chancellor, University of Kashmir.
He graduated (M.A.) from the Aligarh
Muslim University in 1948 and obtained
his Ph.D. from Edinburgh University
(U.K.) in 1962.
He was Professor and Head, Department of
Geography, Dean Faculty of Social
Sciences and Founder Director, Centre
for Area Studies at the Osmania
University. He was Visiting Professor in
Universities in Australia and New
Zealand. He was National Lecturer in
Geography and Professor Emeritus of the
University Grants Commission.
He has made significant contributions in
the field of Qur'an and Science. His
research papers in this field have been
published in international journals on
Islamic Studies. He was Visiting
Professor (1992) at Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn
Saud Islamic University, Riyadh, Saudi
Arabia. His book entitled: Scientific
Significance in Selected Qur'anic Verses
has been published (1999) by the Al-Imam
Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University.
His book "War on Terrorism or
American Strategy for Global
Dominance" was released in December
2009 and has been published by vantage
Press, New York. |

special attention to their educational
backwardness. He has contributed
